Orbiter (www.orbitersim.com) is a space flight simulator, something of a cross between a conventional PC flight simulator and a planetarium or astronomy program. Lockheed Martin announced Monday it has been awarded $2.5 million to begin studies for the U.S. Air Force's Hybrid Launch Vehicle program, scheduled to become operational in 2018.
