The Amazing Eternals’ is a deck-building hero shooter that oozes character By Steven Messner 05 September 2017 Digital Extremes is jumping into a hyper-competitive genre with a unique twist.
.Digital Extremes is firing up the Amazing Eternals closed beta on August 29, so sign up now for a chance to test out this collectible card and shooter game!Close to two months ago, Digital Extremes of Warframe fame launched the closed alpha for their latest game, Keystone. Next week, Digital Extremes is going to be launching the closed beta for the game, except that it is no longer called Keystone. Rather, the game is now known as The Amazing Eternals, and you can sign up for the Amazing Eternals closed beta right now!I actually did have a chance to play the game in the closed alpha and it certainly has some cool features. In memoriam emmys 2020. I really dug the retro 70’s feel to the artistic design, and as a team-based PvP shooter it certainly seemed fun. Check out the gameplay trailer below to see what I mean. The ability to play cards from a pre-built deck seemed odd to me, however. It is more or less like having access to special abilities during the match, except that they are drawn randomly so you are never sure what you will be playing next (at least you always have three to choose from).
It seem like another example of a game developer trying to shoehorn in collectible card gameplay for no other reason than to have collectible card gameplay of some kind. In any case, here is the official blurb again regarding the game:“With the look and feel of the 1970’s retro-pulp era, Keystone will take players on a journey through a multi-verse that begins on the starting square of an intriguing, mystical board game. Players will wield unique decks of cards throughout the match that offer handy benefits, amazing powers, and fearsome weapons. With timing and resourcefulness, personally customized decks give players the upper hand in battle both individually and when strategically coupled with teammates’ decks.”The Amazing Eternals closed beta fires up on August 29.
You can read about the details of the closed beta and the incoming Founder’s program. If you want to sign up for the Amazing Eternals closed beta, you can use this. This will give you priority access to the closed beta if more than four of you use it. Since I am already in the closed beta this doesn’t give me any bonus, but I though you guys might appreciate having a higher chance of getting selected.
