IntroductionHi guys! Some of you may know that there already is a rerolling guide on this subreddit by bereal.

But now that global has shut down, I feel like it's time for a more updated version! So here I am. What is rerolling and why would I do it?Rerolling is when you continually restart a game, clearing your data each time in order to obtain a stronger monster(s) at the beginning of the game. Rerolling gives you a head start, and if you have a monster you've set your eyes on, you can start out with it instead of leaving it to chance later in the game. It isn't necessary to play the game, but it helps a lot.

Apr 17, 2020  Cutting a swath through the land of Monster Strike. Today: looking the monsters the latest Alpha series.

How do I reroll? There are a couple of ways you can reroll in MS JP. The first one is to manually clear your data or uninstall and reinstall the game between each attempt. Alternatively, if your phone(or android emulator(sorry IOS).

I find that emulators tend to work better for this. My personal favorite is Nox) is rooted, you can close the game fully, go into local, download, data, data, then jp.co.mixi.monsterstrike. After that delete data10, data13, data14 and data 16. After that, your data will have been wiped without needing to reinstall the game. Credit to on the. After clearing your data, play through the tutorial. In the mission log you can claim 5 orbs for clearing the tutorial.

Now you can do a solo shot in the current hatcher for 5 orbs, or you can play with a few people and do a ten shot. In jp, the first 10 new people you play with each give you 5 orbs, so if you're willing to take a few extra minutes you can do a ten shot. It's well worth the time in my opinion. Repeat until you get your desired monster(s). What hatchers should I reroll in?The are tons of monsters to reroll for. Exclusives from the Legends and Heroes/Guardians hatcher are all good enough to start you off, and some elemental exclusives along with general pool monsters are good too.

Legends and Guardians/Heroes have the highest rates for 5 stars, so it's a good idea to start your rerolling here. It may be worth your time, however, to go for an elemental exclusive. Elemental hatchers are generally referred to as trap hatchers, as you might throw hundreds of orbs into them and not even get a 5 star, let alone the monster you want. If you like an elemental exclusive like Raphael for example, you may want to get the monster and not bother rolling the hatcher anymore, like I did. Reroll MonstersNoteIn this list, I’m listing monsters that are versatile or strong enough to help new players through the game.

Monsters like Aladdin are definitely strong, but they either don’t have the bump power or versatility. FireNonno - divMS EL dishes out huge dmg. Her bump is insane, capable of dealing 1.3+ dmg. Her 12+12 Spd + Atk up ss has great multipliers, and teleports her to the first contacted enemy to position for her bump.Beethoven - divAfter his transcension, Beethoven got NGB NB along with a 20+4 grand command ss with very high multipliers, and a strong bomb spread + energy circle L bump.Hanzo - divWith high stats and a NGB NW SS reducer kit, Hanzo is extremely powerful. His Slice-n-dice + Homing Piercestruction bumps are great at mob clear, and his 12+16 invincibility ss helps him mitigate dmg. WaterRaphael - divRaphael has a very powerful and easy to use cross laser EL and poison toxwave bump, along with MS M, NDW, and Recovery. Raff can dish out dmg and heal your team, and even wipe the field with her 12+12 command ss.

My personal favorite mon. To be honest, the reason I un-linked my Global guide from the sidebar is because Gamewith, in addition to the regular tier lists, also maintains a (use Google Translate if needed). Whereas the normal tier lists are 'best units in the game', this one is more oriented towards 'best starting units in the game that are long-term investments' - exactly what you'd need to know for rerolls.I wrote the whole Global-specific one because it never had everything JP did, so a JP-based reroll guide was fairly useless - but now that JP is all there is, you may find it easier to refer to the JP reroll tier list and let Gamewith do all the work of keeping it maintained.;).

It's not hard to play in Japanese, but if you're going to go through the effort, please check out Sangoku Smash —a very similar game which copied MS, but made a number of improvements—before putting money into either.Sangoku Smash came out a few years later than Monster strike, and has considerably more advanced systems. It has arguably much better art, although the pictures are a bit heavy-handed with the sexuality.Main differences:PROS:. Sangoku smash has a significantly different feel, with units having a much larger variety of physics as they bounce. Sangoku has a larger number of obstacle types, with units very rarely being able to cover all of them. Sangoku is MUCH harder for impossible missions. It's extremely hard, but feels all that much more rewarding.

Sangoku requires only 10 of a unit for max luck (vs. 99 in monster strike), and you can customize characters based on if you want them to have luck, bonus combo power, or bonus damage to weaker elements. Sangoku has a story mode, which makes the single player a bit more interesting. Goodgame empire virus. Sangoku has some, and very cool level designs. Sangoku has a great PvP mode that you can play as much as you want, and get some pretty cool units and other prizes.CONS:. Sangoku doesn't have collab events, although there are a very large number of events either way. Sangoku makes getting ultimate evolutions very difficult, but you can buy the materials directly.

This can give a pay-to-win feeling at times, although they are getting better about giving materials out for events. Sangoku gives a huge bonus during events if you use units featured for that event. This puts a lot of pressure to roll gatcha, since some people are too picky about who parties with them. Both games are very active and have a lot of people you can play with, but I found that overall, the updated physics and better challenge of Sangoku Smash make it a game that I enjoy much more than Monster Strike, even if there is more pressure to use money (Smash gives tons of free orbs, so you can roll a 10-shot about twice a month for free, but you'll be pressured to roll a lot). Hmmm, the first install does take a while; the game uses an immense amount of high-res art images. My top suggestion would be to make sure you're also using the latest version; a new event just started, and if you were installing from the previous file, that might cause the timeout if the server wasn't returning it. There's also a Chinese version of the app, but I'd suggest to use the Japanese one (especially since they have more events, and katakana tends to be a lot easier to read/translate).Good news is that the game just got another big UI update with the newest units in the last week or so; menus look very nice.Side note; if you're into trying Japanse Gatcha games, you might also want to consider Black Knight/KuroKishi ; it's more of a card/srpg, but it oozes such quality in every single aspect of the game.

Just came out in the last months, and festival just started, if you like to roll for exclusives. Othellonia is another extremely modern gatcha; it uses Othello as a template, and each piece activates with abilities based on how many pieces you flip; incredibly original. KuroKishi is very team-focused PvE (they just announced new PvP modes this week though), and Othellonia is very PvP-focused, almost like a mobile esport.

It's the same group that handles Nintendo's Android division though, so you know it's a very high quality game. Both of these games are what I call 'gatcha 3.0'; they give you crazy amounts of free rolls, and the game is less about one godly meta piece, and more about forming strategic teams. Very player-friendly and non-p2w. Also, very good gatcha rates, since one unique piece doesn't shift balance so much.
